I highly recommend Japan Shop Buddy! Yumi went out of her way to drive from Tokyo to Kazo to buy and pick up an expensive second-hand Yamaha trombone for me.
Yumi’s follow-through was fantastic, and she accommodated all of my requests. Most importantly, she took incredible care with the packaging—meticulously bubble-wrapping the instrument inside its case and marking the box as fragile.

Yumi provided an amazing service and helped me get some limited shirts from a popup shop that was only open for 1 week. Her prices were incredibley fair for in person shopping and responded to my emails quickly and was able to go to the shop in just a few days. And got there very early to make sure the items weren’t out of stock
She even took some pictures of the shop and sent them to me so I could experience it via her. Delivery was super fast too!

This was my first experience using a proxy shopper, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Yumi was extremely patient, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process. Even though I had to go back and forth a few times to adjust my request, she navigated the situation perfectly and successfully secured my limited pop-up shop goods. Everything arrived safely and well-packed!

Found Yumi’s website by chance when looking for a solution for a particular item I was after. Good thing I did because her service, the whole process was smooth and quick (both in communication and moving the order forward) especially considering the pre-order end date of the item I wanted was fast approaching.

I just completed my first order with Yumi and can wholeheartedly recommend her services. She was so helpful and communicative, not to mention quick! I wanted some merch from a pop-up that was offline only and didn’t think I’d be able to get it until I came across Yumi while searching for options. She checked in with me every step of the way, was thorough in making sure she got exactly what I asked for, explained every charge, and sent me some really cute pictures of the pop-up as well, which was such a nice touch since I can’t go myself.
